FAQs

To apply for a partner or spouse visa, your other half must be a British citizen, someone settled in the UK, someone with pre-settled status, have a Turkish businessperson or worker visa, or have refugee status in the UK.

You need to be over 18 years old and be in a marriage, civil partnership, living together for at least two years or be engaged with intention of marrying or entering a civil partnership within six months of being in the UK.

Further requirements of a spouse visa are that you have good knowledge of English and are capable of financially supporting yourself.

Anyone applying for a skilled worker visa in the UK must meet a certain number of specific criteria. Depending on the criteria met you are awarded points.

The skilled worker route requires a minimum of 70 points.

50 points are mandatory, applicants must have an offer of a job from a approved sponsor, job at the appropriate skill level and speak English at the required level.

A further 20 points must be made up from your salary, education level and whether the role is on the designated list of job shortages.

Our Fees

Our charges will be based on the time actually spent by the solicitors and other staff in respect of any work which they do on your behalf.

Our current hourly rates are set out below:

The work we carry out on your immigration case can take several hours, therefore we understand some clients prefer fixed fee costs.  We will provide you with a fixed fee of £ 250 + VAT at the initial consultation (if you prefer this option).

If you wish to proceed with hourly rate fees you can expect on average to pay the following dependant on the fee-earners hourly rate.

How long does a visa application take?

We will normally be able to submit your application within 4 – 8 weeks of you instructing us, but we will let you know at the earliest opportunity if it is likely to take longer than this.

We cannot guarantee how long the Home Office will take to process your application.  Read the current processing times.
