Pourya is a corporate and litigation lawyer based in the Frankfurt office. He advises on regulatory law, compliance, corporate law, banking and capital markets matters.
Pourya takes a tailored approach to each matter, developing strategies that are closely aligned with his clients’ commercial objectives. He focuses on delivering solutions that are legally robust, commercially effective and mindful of reputational considerations.
He has a strong understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks and keeps abreast of legislative developments, market practice and emerging trends across the sectors in which his clients operate.
Pourya has a comprehensive legal education, having studied at universities in Augsburg and Washington, D.C., with a focus on European and international business and banking law. He completed his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf and is admitted to practise as a lawyer.

Drafting and reviewing German and English legal documentation, in particular loan and security documentation based on LMA and LSTA standards.
Marking up legal documents and preparing concise risk memoranda with clear, practical recommendations.
Drafting and reviewing audit-ready documentation, policies and templates in line with regulatory requirements, including MaRisk/KWG and AML/OFAC requirements.
Writing and contributing to legal publications on topics including the EU Blocking Regulation, US sanctions, German property law and Iranian banks operating in Germany.
