Benjamin Kutzer

Benjamin Kutzer is a lawyer based in our Frankfurt office, specialising in compliance, corporate law, aviation law, banking and capital markets law, and real estate.

He has in depth in advising national and international companies in the area of compliance and in all areas of commercial and criminal tax law.

Benjamin regularly advises his clients on the above areas and always brings in a pragmatic approach which is tailored to the needs of his clients. 

He studied law at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Sheffield. During his studies, he worked as a tutor at the Free University of Berlin. He completed his academic focus in the field of criminal justice and criminology. After the first state examination, he deepened his skills in teaching legal content as a lecturer at the Hemmer Berlin/Brandenburg revision course and as a research assistant in a boutique specializing in white-collar criminal law.

He completed his legal clerkship at the Court of Appeal, gaining experience at the Federal Foreign Office (headquarters in Berlin) and in an international commercial law firm, among other places.

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts related to securities and financial services Providing support on regu­latory compliance, particularly under MiFID II, MICAR and the German
  • Securities Trading Act (WpHG)
  • Writing and contributing to legal publications and blogs on topics such as German crypto regulation (MiCAR, FinMaDig, KMAG) and EU legal frameworks (NIS2, DORA, Data Act)
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts related to securities and financial services Providing support on regu­latory compliance, particularly under MiFID II, MICAR and the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG)
  • Advising airlines on regulatory compliance, including passenger rights under EU Regulation 261/2004 and international aviation laws
  • Representing clients in civil and commercial litigation, focusing on contract disputes and regulatory matters;
  • Advising clients on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, and leases for com­mercial and residential properties.
