Crime Motoring Offences

Our experience in representing clients on motoring offences is vast. We have acted for clients on numerous offences involving:

For the offences above our hourly charging rates are:

We may be able to offer a fixed fee for this, based on our hourly rate, but it will depend on an initial assessment to determine whether the case is suitable for us to proceed under a fixed fee.

Disbursements

Legal costs are covered by fixed fees that you will pay to us. If any other services are required (e.g., medical reports, mechanical inspections, or other expert reports), they are not included in the fixed fees and must be paid for separately.

Pricing for disbursements of this kind will vary. The type of expert, the type of defense ran by the firm and the type of evidence sought will all affect pricing. Please be aware that most disbursements carry a VAT of 20%.

How long my case takes

The amount of time it takes for your case to reach its conclusion depends on several factors, such as the seriousness and complexity of the crime you are charged with, your bail position, and whether or not you have a guilty plea. If you plead guilty to a misdemeanor in a Magistrates’ Court, you will be sentenced immediately. A Magistrates’ Court guilty plea may be dealt with on the first date of hearing. Some people, however, have to wait up to a year for a trial.

As the case progresses, we will try to give you more specific details of how long it might take.
