Expeditious Discharge of European Arrest Warrant
Have you got a question?
Mistaken Identity
Our client was a 79 year old Swiss national arrested at Heathrow as a suspect of a murder that was committed over 50 years ago. The officers at Heathrow arrested our client on the basis that he shared the same name and a similar date of birth with the wanted person.
A photograph of the wanted person, taken 50 years ago, was produced which was not sufficient proof to discharge our client.
Further Proof Produced
Further evidence in the form of fingerprint analysis and photographs were arranged and the 79 year old walked free on the same day when the extradition proceedings started.
