Irena Gogl-Hassanin is Head of Aviation Austria at Oracle Law Global and an Austrian-qualified lawyer with more than 20 years of experience she was admitted to the Vienna Bar Association in Austria since 27.10.2009. Aviation law has been a key focus throughout her career, and she has advised airlines, aircraft owners, financiers and other aviation industry participants on a broad range of transactional, financing, regulatory and liability matters. 

Her aviation practice in renown law firms in Austria and the UK covers aircraft finance and leasing, security structures, aviation liability and insurance, passenger claims, regulatory matters and complex cross-border transactions. She particularly has experience in matters at the intersection of Austrian, European and international aviation law and combines her sector expertise with a strong background in banking and finance, corporate and M&A. 

Irena regularly participates in publications on aviation law and regularly contributes her practical experience to the academic field. She has been a long-time lecturer in the aviation master’s programme at the Fachhochschule Joanneum in Graz, Austria, where she currently teaches ‘Finance and Leasing in Aerospace’, with a particular focus on the legal and commercial structures underlying aircraft financing and leasing transactions. 

At Oracle Law Global, Irena leads the firm's aviation practice in Austria and advises both Austrian and international clients, combining in-depth industry knowledge with a pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
